Beau
June 20, 2013 - February 28, 2025

We lost our dear family member Beau on February 28, 2025. His loss to us is heartbreaking...Beau was a one of a kind, special dog, he truly was a gift from God to us to care for and love. Beau loved us and we loved him.
He was not a herding dog but in a sense he was a cow dog. He would make the newly arrived bulls that came home, welcomed by licking their noses and just "reassuring" them that they were in a good place. He went on many trips delivering bulls over the years. He always knew when we were going to go to the ranch and would be waiting at the pickup door for us to let him in. He loved to go in the side by side to look at cows and help take pictures...of course, he would not ride in the back, he rode inside the cab with us.
He loved to take breaks and go to the frog pond and terrorize the frogs. It was great fun to watch! Finding and chasing rabbits was another thing he loved to do...he would find them, chase them, then make friends with them.
Beau was kind and polite. He welcomed everyone with a wagging tail and a "smile". The closer he could be to us the better he liked it. He loved to snuggle in close and make us happy. He was everybody's friend. We miss you Beau!
